From the start of the series, Mr. Robot’s creator, Sam Esmail, challenged the production to not only show Elliot hack his way through our known civilization using one real world cyber security tool at a time, but to do this with live onset playback. This project overcompensated in preparing us for future playback challenges.

Mr Robot has been widely praised for its technical accuracy by numerous cybersecurity firms and bloggers who dissected and commented on the technology and the technical aspects of the show after every episode.
